Shooting starts on SDGI ARRI ALEXA TAKE

4 Directors Start  Shooting  Films on SDGI ARRI ALEXA TAKE 

 The Screen Directors Guild of Ireland delighted that directors start shooting  SDGI ARRI ALEXA TAKE today on the 28th October  2022.

Thanks to ARRI who held a training day on Thursday 27th of October for the crew.

The SDGI ARRI ALEXA TAKE supports the annual production of experiential and conceptual visual films that spark discovery and inspiration for directors. Incorporated into the broader ecosystem of support to directors at SDGI the ARRI ALEXA TAKE serves as a launching point for creative risk taking and new collaborations in the screen industry.

This year directors will work on the new ARRI Alexa Super 35mm 4.6k camera that was released 31st of May 2022. Directors are welcome to watch Encounters film shot on ALEXA 35 playlist on channel  here

Frank Berry (Aisha, Michael Inside, I Used to Live Here, Ballymun Lullaby) is the Creative Director of the ARRI ALEXA take programme and offers additional support to directors in their creative vision.

Directors will shoot on the new ARRI ALEXA Super 35mm 4.6k camera.

In addition to working with the new ARRI, SDGI partners with 8 leading organisations in the Irish screen industry that come together to support directors, 24 7 Drama, National film school IADT, Bow street acting school, Irish society of Cinematographers, Screen Composers guild Ireland, Outer limits post production, Screen Composers Guild,Teach Solais lighting.

Directors will have the option to debut their film at a screening on 11th May 2023.
