Skye Mann is an honorary graduate of the University of Wolverhampton, where she earned a 1:1 Distinction B.A. (Hons) in Video and Film Production. She graduated with the highest academic achievement award, officially recognized by the Transatlantic Academic Board. Her graduate film, La Doulour Exquise, was featured at the Kerry International Film Festival in 2017.

After graduation, Skye moved to Vancouver, Canada, where she worked for five years in various sectors of the film, television, and animation industries. Initially, she worked on high-budget TV shows for major companies such as Warner Bros, Netflix, Marvel, and Disney.

After gaining experience on large sets, Skye decided to make her first feature film, A Guide to Becoming an Elm Tree. The film was successful, playing at festivals like the Achill Island Film Festival, Chattanooga Film Festival, and alongside Saltburn at Fantastic Fest in Austin. It was then longlisted for the 2024 IFTA Awards in several categories, including Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Director. It won several other international awards including Best Debut Feature.

Skye is a member of the Screen Directors Guild, the Irish Film and Television Academy, and the Writers Guild of Ireland. She is represented by McFarlane Talent Agency UK. Her next project, Cian and the West, is currently in development with Screen Ireland.
