In 2019, Shane was nominated for the Discovery Award for producing, writing, directing, and editing his debut feature film Dub Daze. In 2020, his debut LGBTIQA+ short film True premiered at the Dublin International Film Festival, won Best Short at the Marbella International Film Festival, and was nominated for the Emerging Directors Award. That same year, he was invited to pitch True at JETS during Berlinale.
Shane has received scholarships to Sundance Collab’s Writing for Television Parts 1 & 2. His 2022 documentary, Nearly Never Made Me, premiered at the Marbella International Film Festival, was nominated for Best Documentary, and screened at the 2024 Fastnet Film Festival. He has also been shortlisted for the Edinburgh TV Network, and his short films have screened internationally over the past five years. In 2024, he pitched his third feature project at JETS during Berlinale as part of Team UK. His French/Irish short Percheron begins its festival run later this year.
