Seán Leahy is an award-nominated Irish director and screenwriter.

His films have screened at festivals including Fastnet Film Festival, IndieCork, and Big Shots. In 2023, he directed An Unnerving Realisation, followed by The Marina in 2024, which premiered at The People’s Picturehouse Cork. His upcoming project, For Séamus, a long-form short film he wrote, directed, and edited is due for release in 2025.

Seán is a member of the Irish Film and Television Academy’s Directing Chapter, the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland, and an Associate Member of the Writers Guild of Ireland. He also serves as Events Manager for The People’s Picturehouse Cork.

Focused on character-driven storytelling and a grounded visual style, Seán continues to develop new narrative projects while championing grassroots cinema in Cork.
