Seán Leahy is an award-nominated Irish director and screenwriter developing drama-based projects across short film, feature, and high-end television.

His films have screened at festivals including the Fastnet Film Festival, IndieCork, and the Catalyst International Film Festival. In 2023, he directed An Unnerving Realisation, followed by The Marina in 2024. He then wrote and directed For Séamus, a long-form short film that premiered at the 2025 Catalyst International Film Festival.

Seán is a member of the Irish Film and Television Academy’s Directing Chapter, the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland, and an Associate Member of the Writers Guild of Ireland. He also serves as Events Manager for The People’s Picturehouse Cork.

Focused on character-driven storytelling and a grounded visual style, Seán continues to develop new narrative projects while championing grassroots cinema in Cork.
