Robert Higgins is an award-winning Irish writer, director and producer, and co-founder of Harp Media.

His debut feature, Lakelands, which he co-wrote and co-directed with Patrick McGivney, won Best Irish Film at the Galway Film Fleadh and received four IFTA nominations, including Best Film. The film also won the Dublin Film Critics’ Circle Award for Best Irish Film and Best Narrative Feature at Kerry International Film Festival.

Robert’s short film Drifting, starring Paul Mescal and Dafhyd Flynn, screened internationally and was acquired by Disney+.

He is currently developing a number of feature film and television projects, including his upcoming second feature Saint’s Island. His work is represented by Curtis Brown in the UK and Berwick & Kovacik in the US.
