Miles Davis Murphy is an award-winning writer and director originally from Michigan, now based in Dublin.

He holds a joint BA Honours degree in Directing and Producing, as well as an MA in Screenwriting, both from the National Film School in IADT. His most recent short film, Bestial Ones, has garnered acclaim on both national and international stages, premiering in The Newport Beach Film Festival before embarking on a festival journey culminating in a win for Best Irish Short at IndieCork 2023. The film’s success extended beyond the festival circuit, winning five Royal Television Society Awards, an Irish Emerging Director Award, and Silver Screen at the prestigious Young Director Award’s Cannes Lions. Miles’ work has been known to explore themes ranging from the intricacies of family dynamics to the duality of human nature. He is currently in development on a number of feature screenplays.
