Growing up, Loïc was inspired by the flming of Stanley Kubrick’s “Barry Lyndon” in his childhood village in England. As a teenager, he began making short flms in Super 8 and later enrolled in a cinema program at his secondary school in France. He then spent three years studying at the “Conservatoire du Cinéma Français” in Paris, further developing his passion for flmmaking.

Loïc’s career in flm spans over two decades, with a background of Director -assistant and Production manager in Paris. In 1997, he shifted his focus to documentary flmmaking, collaborating with prominent production companies like ANABASE, MK2 and AMC Films. His debut short fction, “The World’s Bitch,” premiered in 2001, followed by his frst feature documentary in Ireland. This experience led him to settle in Ireland in 2003, where he co-founded Lughflms with Anne-marie nic Ruaidhri in 2004.

Since then, Loïc has produced and directed several award-winning feature documentaries, including “Tory Island, after the prophecy” (2005), “Man of the Isles” (2006), and “A turning tide in the life of man” (2016). His latest release, “The Tribe of Gods”, premiered in competition at FIPADOC in 2021 and is currently in distribution.

With the support of Screen Ireland, Loïc is currently developing several international documentaries, fctions, and series projects. These include “Hidden World”, co-written with Barry Gifford, “Our Secret”, and the series “The Park”. He is currently directing “Sky’s the limit”, a feature documentary about a family’s search for a miracle cure.

As an experienced producer and co-producer, Loïc has participated in various European network workshops, such as EAVE, EURODOC, ARCHIDOC, DOCCELERATOR, and DOC-CAMPUS and pitched in most of the Festivals in Europe, including IDFA, SHEFFIELD, VISION DU REEL, FIPADOC, MEDIMED, GALWAY FILMS FLEADH, SUNNY SIDE OF THE DOC, SARAJEVO FILM FESTIVAL. Through these programs, he has established strong relationships with fellow producers, writers, and directors.
