Janna’s work is driven by morally complex, character-driven stories that blend dark humour with raw, emotional intensity. She loves discovering the personal in a fantastical world, especially the dark nooks and crannies of our minds.
Janna brings a diverse set of influences to her work having worked in photography, theater and dance before finding her love of film. This set of skills allows her to easily move through genres and styles in her work.
Janna is also a multi-camera director on beloved long-running TV series RTÉ’s Fair City and BBC’s EastEnders. Janna has multiple award winning short films under her belt and is currently developing feature and TV projects.
Janna was part of the Galway pitching competition 2025 with her TV Show Copper Alley and Torino Series Lab in 2024 alongside Co – Creator and writer Hiram Harrington with their project Goodnight Girl.
