Santa Barbara International Film Festival — Panavision Independant Spirit Award. Noble
Stephen is an Irish director. Stephen’s film REAPER (1994) was selected for Official Competition at Venice. BARABBAS (1997) won Best Entertainment Series at the Celtic Film Festival. In 1998 Stephen wrote and directed his debut feature film, SWEETY BARRETT which was chosen for Official Selection in Toronto and Official Competition in San Sebastian. Following the award-winning short NO, NO, NO (Channel 4) Stephens second feature was BOY EATS GIRL (2005) was sold world-wide including US distribution by Lionsgate.) Stephen has also directed many Stand-Up Comedy shows for television, several series of documentary programme HANGING WITH HECTOR (RTE) and three feature length comedy-sports documentaries, CHASING THE LIONS (1 2) and CHASING THE BLUES. Stephen also wrote and directed NOBLE (2014) a biopic about the extraordinary champion of children’s rights in Vietnam, Christina Noble which won several awards including Best Foreign Feature at Newport Beach Film Festival.
