Adam Rael is a commercial and narrative film director, who co-founded Irish film production company Cassette Vision.

Starting out making videos in rural Ireland, Adam Rael refined his craft at the National Film School, IADT, specialising in directing drama under Rebecca Roper. After building his skills as a freelance creative, he co-founded Cassette Vision, where he now serves as lead creative director. Under Adam’s leadership, Cassette Vision produces commercials (TVC and VFX), high-end corporate work, Arts Council creative projects, and is actively developing narrative films. Adam is also expanding the company’s scope into feature documentaries and animated series while personally focusing on narrative feature films and series.

Adam is committed to amplifying marginalised voices and underrepresented perspectives in Irish cinema. He produced “An Talamh Faoi Gheasa – The Enchanted Land”, a project by artist Pradeep Mahadeshwar – a beautiful Irish language piece exploring Indian mythological and gender identity. Adam serves as executive and creative producer for Irish Amputee Football, directed by Gabrielle Deeny, which tells the story of Ireland’s National Amputee Football Association. The piece is currently in development with Screen Ireland.

Adam’s own work as a director skews towards high concept genre pieces, with a strong emotional driving force within the story. His greatest strength as a director lies in his ability to bring out the best in his collaborators, both cast and crew. With a sharp technical eye for visuals and VFX, he creates a distinctive blend of cinematic style and emotionally driven, performance-led storytelling.
